Gaylesville softball blanks Faith Christian

ANNISTON – The Gaylesville Lady Trojans opened their 2026 softball season with a bang Monday at Faith Christian. They scored six runs in the top of the first, two more in the second, and capped things off with an 8-run third to take a 16-0 victory.

MaKenlee Young tripled and drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Trojans (1-0). Brooklyn Mitchell managed a two-run double and a walk. Aubree Colbert singled and drove in two runs. Kya Green singled and drove in a run.

Kylie Canada walked, singled, stole two bases, and drove in two runs. Bayleigh Ratliff added a hit, and Adalyn Lusk walked three times.

Lydia Reynolds earned the win in the circle. She allowed just one hit over three innings with a walk and five strikeouts.

Gaylesville plays at Crossville on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
