Jesse Battles Issues Statement Following Being Removed From Republican Ballot

Following being removed from the Republican primary ballot by the Alabama Republican Steering Committee, Jesse Battles released a statement on Monday evening. The statement can be read in full below:
To every single one of you, thank you. From the day I announced in June, this campaign has never been about me. It has been about the hardworking men and women of Northeast Alabama. It has been about making this area the best place to live, work, and raise a family. The decision made by the committee yesterday is beyond discouraging and disappointing. But let me be clear: it does not define us.I poured my heart and soul into this campaign. I made it my mission to shake the hand of every voter in District 10 because you deserve a candidate who looks you in the eye, who listens, and who stands firm.Y’all know me. You know my values. And in moments like this, you find out who your real friends are. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every call, post, message, prayer, and every single one of you who stood up and stands by me.What we are building together is special. We were winning without PAC money. Without special interests. Without backroom deals. We were powered by the people. Powered by your generosity. Powered by your belief. Powered by your loyalty.A setback is not a surrender: it is a challenge that prepares us to rise higher than before. If anything, this has lit a fire in me that burns even stronger.I can promise you this. This will not be the last time you see the name Jesse Battles. I will keep working, keep building, and keep fighting for a future that serves all of us.
This leaves Incumbent Senator Andrew Jones and challenger Amy Dozier Minton on the Republican primary ballot. Both Jones and Dozier Minton issued earlier statements that can be read in the links below.
