Cherokee County Corrections Officers Complete Jail Management Training
Centre-The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing four members of its corrections staff for completing advanced training through the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.
According to the sheriff’s office, Corrections Officer Olivia Tanner, Sgt. Larry Griffin, Corrections Officer Tristan Boman and Corrections Officer James Driskill recently completed the academy’s 80-hour Jail Management Course.

The course provides advanced instruction in jail operations, management and corrections best practices, aimed at strengthening the safety, professionalism and effectiveness of detention facilities.
Sheriff Jeff Shaver praised the officers for their dedication to professional development and their continued commitment to serving the community.
