CENTRE – Class 4A, No. 3 Cherokee County jumped out on a 19-2 first-quarter run and cruised to their 18th consecutive win with a 61-30 girls basketball victory over Geraldine on Thursday.
Ellisan Givens netted a game-high 22 points to lead the Lady Warriors (25-2). Nevaeh Gaidurgis tossed in 13 points. Brooklynn Bruce and Mattie Green added eight and five points respectively.
Alice Jordan topped the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points. Karissa Brock and Rachel Bankston finished with six and five points respectively.
Cherokee County hosts Boaz on senior night on Friday.
