GADSDEN — A water main break was reported in Gadsden early this morning in the area of Country Club Drive and Rainbow Drive, prompting repair efforts and traffic safety concerns.
City officials said water service may be interrupted for a period of time as crews work to repair the damaged main. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area, as water from the leak has frozen on the roadway, creating potentially hazardous driving conditions.
Repair crews remain on scene addressing the issue. As of 8:00 a.m., no estimated time for completion of repairs had been provided.
