West Morgan sinks 11 treys in boys basketball win over Sand Rock

GUNTERSVILLE – Will Cleere collected 21 points and 10 rebounds, but the Sand Rock Wildcats fell to West Morgan by the final of 86-66 in Guntersville on Monday.

Jonas Browder added 16 points, including three 3-pointers for the Wildcats (15-7). Jaxon Bruce came away with seven points, seven assists, and three blocks. Thomas Snead finished with six points.

West Morgan sank 11 3-pointers, led by Landon Henderson’s game-high 29 points which included three treys. Keelan Murphy managed 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Brendon Bradford connected on three treys and had 14 points. Colby Jones finished with 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

West Morgan led 23-18 at the end of the first quarter and upped its lead to 50-32 at halftime. The Rebels held a 74-49 edge after three quarters.

Sand Rock travels to Ashville on Thursday.
