Flat Rock Man Killed in Jackson County Crash
Jackson County-A Flat Rock man was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Jackson County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, on Jackson County 95 near Jackson County 295, about two miles south of the Higdon city limits.
Authorities identified the victim as Kenneth D. Evans, 57. Troopers said Evans was driving a 2016 Ford Fiesta when the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. No additional information was available as of press time.
