Crash Closes Northbound Lanes of U.S. 231 in Blount County
Blount County-A two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning has resulted in the closure of northbound lanes of U.S. 231 near the intersection with Alabama 79 in Blount County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened at approximately 9:54 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15. The collision caused significant roadway blockage, prompting officials to close the northbound lanes for safety and cleanup efforts.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are on the scene monitoring the situation and managing traffic. The roadway is expected to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time as the investigation and clearing process continues.
