TALLAPOOSA, Ga. — Marie Crane scored eight of Cherokee County’s first 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, en route to the Lady Warriors’ 63-32 victory over Haralson County (Ga.) in their opening game of the Haralson County Tournament on Saturday.
Crane sank three 3-pointers in the game and finished with 14 points. Cherokee County connected on 10 treys in the game.
Ellisan Givens tossed in 20 points and also collected seven assists, seven rebounds, four steals, and a pair of blocks to lead the Lady Warriors (13-2).
Brooklynn Bruce delivered 12 points and six steals. Nevaeh Gaidurgis contributed eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Cherokee County built a 20-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 33-11 halftime advantage. The Lady Warriors led 47-20 after three quarters.
The Lady Warriors will take on Cedartown, Ga., in the tournament on Monday at 2 p.m. They will also play Central Carrollton on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
