In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Nicholas Nixon, age 40 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of obstructing justice false ID.

Gary Cothran, age 60 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of driving under the influence.

James Bryant, age 42 of Weaver, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Ronald Atkins, age 45 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on four previous charges.

Robert Reynolds, age 66 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 3rd degree theft of property.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 88 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
