Deputies Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Piedmont Woman
Cherokee County, Ala. — Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered a stolen vehicle Thursday morning and arrested a Piedmont woman following an investigation near the intersection of County Road 71 and County Road 128.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on patrol noticed a vehicle parked along the side of the roadway and began checking the area. During the investigation, deputies made contact with a woman nearby, who initially told them she had not been driving the vehicle. She later changed her statement and admitted she had been driving it, raising deputies’ suspicions.
Further investigation revealed the vehicle belonged in Etowah County. Deputies contacted the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office and were advised the vehicle had been stolen overnight, though it had not yet been officially reported as stolen at the time it was located.
The woman was identified as Kimberly Nicole Taylor of Piedmont. She was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property in the First Degree and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
