Single-Vehicle Rollover Reported on Chesnut Bypass; No Serious Injuries

Centre, Ala. — A single-vehicle rollover accident was reported Thursday morning on the Chesnut Bypass, near Peoples Bank of Alabama.

According to authorities, a white GMC Yukon traveled off the roadway and rolled before coming to rest in a field adjacent to the bank. Rain was falling at the time of the crash, which may have contributed to the incident.

An adult female and three children were inside the vehicle. All occupants were evaluated for injuries at the scene, and no serious injuries were reported. Officials said no ambulance transport was required.

The vehicle did not block traffic, allowing the roadway to remain open while first responders worked the scene.

Centre Police, Centre Fire, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Atrium Floyd EMS responded to the incident.
