Salvation Army of Gadsden to Host Annual Kettle & Angel Tree Kick-Off with Breakfast with Santa

GADSDEN, Ala. β€” The Salvation Army of Gadsden is ushering in the holiday season with its annual Kettle & Angel Tree Kick-Off, paired with a festive Breakfast with Santa, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 235 S. 5th Street in Gadsden.

The event marks the official start of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign and Angel Tree Program, two cornerstone efforts that provide gifts and support to families in need throughout Etowah County during the holidays.

Guests attending the celebration can adopt an angel from the Angel Tree to purchase Christmas gifts for local children and make contributions to the familiar Red Kettles, helping sustain The Salvation Army’s year-round programs and services.

A light continental breakfast will be served, and children will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, making it a family-friendly morning filled with holiday cheer and community spirit.

Lt. Roy Fisher of The Salvation Army of Gadsden said the event captures the true meaning of the season.

β€œThis event is a celebration of generosity and community,” Fisher said. β€œEvery angel adopted and every bell rung helps us serve those who need it most.”

In addition to the festivities, attendees can learn about volunteer opportunities, including how to become one of the organization’s iconic bell ringers. Those interested can sign up online at RegisterToRing.com.
