PISGAH – Sand Rock’s girls and boys cross country teams finished first and second respectively at the Class 1A-2A Section 3 5K at Pisgah on Thursday.
Katelin Stiefel led the Lady Wildcats by finishing seventh with a time of 22:18.31. Amelia Ford was right behind in eighth place (22:29.35).
Brody Johnson finished first overall in the boys division with a time of 17:43.82. Dalton Oliver took fourth place with a time of 18:39.14.
Cedar Bluff’s girls and boys also competed in the 5K. The Lady Tigers were led by Scarlett Brown, who finished second with a time of 20:49.06. Vana Martin came in sixth with a time of 22:17.92.
Zachary Jones topped the Tiger boys with a fifth place showing following a time of 18:45.07.
