Rome Police Investigating Death of Woman Found Unresponsive Downtown

Rome-Rome Police are investigating the death of a woman found unresponsive behind a Broad Street business near Bridgepoint Plaza and Unity Point on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

According to a statement from the Rome Police Department, officers and Rome-Floyd Fire/EMS responded to the location after receiving a call about an unresponsive female. The woman has been identified as 30-year-old Emily Victoria Bosworth.

Police said there is currently no evidence of foul play, and the circumstances leading up to the incident remain under investigation. Authorities noted that, out of respect for the family, no additional details will be released at this time.

The department expressed appreciation for the community’s concern and requested that the public remain respectful during this difficult period.
