This week Cherokee County Chief of Corrections Sierra Wilks was recognized by the National Institute for Jail Operations (NIJO) as Detention Administrator of the Year, a prestigious national honor awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence in detention facility operations.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver congratulated Chief Wilks on this outstanding achievement and commended her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
