Gadsden Fire Department Responds to Walnut Park Structure Fire

Gadsden – On Monday afternoon, October 6, the Gadsden Fire Department’s “C” Shift responded to a structure fire in the Walnut Park community.

Responding units included Quint 4, Engine 1, Engine 5, Rescue 1, Training Officer 1, Fire Marshal 1, Battalion 3, Battalion 2/Public Information Officer, and unit 42. Advantage EMS and the Gadsden Police Department’s Animal Control Division also assisted at the scene.

Gadsden Fire Department Responds to Walnut Park Structure Fire

According to officials, the homeowner was inside the residence when the fire began, but was able to escape without injury. Fire crews quickly brought the blaze under control, preventing further damage to surrounding structures.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Gadsden Fire Marshal’s Office.
