Oxford Police Seeking Help To locate Missing Teen

Oxford-The Oxford Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are asking for the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Dakota Matthew Meachem, who has been reported missing.

According to ALEA, Meachem left the area of Gunnells Lane in Oxford on October 3, 2025, and has not returned. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, faded jeans, and cowboy boots. His direction of travel is currently unknown.

Meachem is described as a Black male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Oxford Police Department at 256-831-3121 or call the department’s tip line at 256-835-6122.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Center for Missing and Exploited Children is assisting in the search. Tips can also be shared by calling 1-800-228-7688 or visiting http://app.alea.gov/community
