In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Nicholas Young, age 20 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a grand jury indictment of sex abuse of a child under the age of 12.
Shane Chain, age 26 of Collinsville, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge.
Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 98 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
