City of Centre Adopts 6 Million Dollar Budget

Centre- During the Centre City Council meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Council approved the budget for the new fiscal year of October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, in the amount of $6,005, 291.36.

A proclamation declaring City Clean Up week was passed. The City wide clean up week will be October 20-24. During this week, city residents will be able to put out non-household trash on their regular trash day and a second truck will come around and pick it up. Councilor Kay Davis told the group, trash bags will be available at the City Hall for residents to pick up and fill up during that week as the Mayor and Council encourages all residents to participate and work together to keep Centre Clean and Beautiful.

The annual Fall Festival is Saturday, October 4th with numerous craft and food vendors, a parade, inflatables for the children, musical entertainment, and much more.

The next Centre City Council meeting is scheduled for October 14th at 5 pm in the Council Chambers.
