Cherokee County Volleyball Tournament scheduled for Sept. 27, 29

CENTRE – There’s a few new wrinkles to the Cherokee County Volleyball Tournament.

This year’s tournament, hosted by Cherokee County High School, will feature single elimination, best 3-out-of-5 matches in both and varsity and junior varsity divisions.

The tournament begins on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Cherokee County High School with junior varsity action between Sand Rock and Spring Garden at 9 a.m., followed by Cherokee County and Cedar Bluff junior varsity at 10 a.m.

The next two matches will be varsity action between Sand Rock and Gaylesville at 11 a.m., followed by Cedar Bluff and Spring Garden at noon.

The winner of the Sand Rock-Gaylesville match will take on Cherokee County at 1 p.m.

The tournament concludes with the junior varsity and varsity championship matches on Monday, Sept. 29 at Richard Lindsey Arena. The junior varsity championship is scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by the varsity championship at 7 p.m.

Admission to the tournament is $8. Tickets will be available on GoFan. Cash/cards will be accepted at the gate.
