Gadsden State Officer Honored with Chancellor’s Award

Public Safety Officer Efferson Ellis has been recognized with Chancellor’s Award

GADSDEN, Ala. – Public Safety Officer Efferson Ellis has been recognized with one of Gadsden State Community College’s highest honors — the Chancellor’s Award for Staff Member.

Ellis, known for his professionalism and dedication, was praised for treating everyone with respect and for building strong, positive relationships throughout the campus community.

“Officer Ellis does an outstanding job every single day,” said President Alan Smith. “We are grateful for his commitment to our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.”

Chief Jay Freeman echoed that appreciation, noting Ellis’s efforts to help make the college a safe and welcoming place.

College leaders say Ellis represents the very best of Gadsden State, and they are proud of his accomplishments and his service.
