Cedar Bluff rallies for area volleyball match win over Sand Rock

CEDAR BLUFF – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers rallied for a Class 2A, Area 13 volleyball match victory over visiting Sand Rock on Thursday.

The Lady Tigers dropped the first set 19-25, but then won three straight 29-27, 25-20 and 25-18 to improve to 4-10 on the season.

Kindal Grace led the Lady Tigers with 10 kills and six digs. Janaya Higgins collected nine kills, four aces, and an assist. Rylie Walker added 31 assists, three digs, and an ace. Paityn Walker contributed 11 digs, five kills, and an assist. Blakelea Hall accumulated 10 digs, eight kills, two aces, and an assist. Anslee Evans finished with seven digs and three kills.

Caitlyn Lynch managed 11 kills for Sand Rock (8-9). Maddie Clanton delivered 29 assists. Molly Grace Lay came away with 20 digs. Paitlyn Hughes posted 20 digs and nine kills. Emma Sipsy contributed 19 digs and three kills. Megan Smith finished with six kills.

Sand Rock travels to Gaylesville for a tri-match with Faith Christian on Monday. Cedar Bluff is at Spring Garden with White Plains, also on Monday.
