New Mayor’s Association Established for Cherokee County

The Mayor’s and Mayor Elects for the Municipalities of Cherokee County gathered Friday afternoon at the Cedar Bluff Town Hall for the purpose of forming a Mayor Association for the upcoming fiscal year when the newly elected Mayors  will take office. The proposed organization will also have a membership for the County Commission Chairman/ Probate Judge.

The meeting was set up by Cedar Bluff Mayor Elect, Bill Warren. He invited the others to meet and discuss the idea of an association and how it could be of service to drive continued growth and prosperity for the municipalities and the County in general. This association will foster cooperation and support between the municipalities and the County.

During the organizational meeting, a set of By-Laws was presented and adopted by the group. It was decided to have an attorney to draw up documents for a Non Profit organization with the effective date of the Mayor’s Association on November 4, 2025.

It was decided that Bill Warren will serve as President, Brandy Pierce as Vice President, Jay Howell as Secretary and Gene Farmer to serve as Treasurer.

Those in attendance were Bill Warren, Mayor Brandy Pierce, Tommy Storey, Mayor Gene Farmer, Jay Howell, and Probate Judge/Commission Chairman, Tim Burgess.
