DeKalb County, AL – August 14, 2025 –According to Alabama State Troopers A two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning temporarily blocked all lanes of U.S. 11 near the 217-mile marker in Dekalb County. The accident happened at approximately 10:05 a.m., causing traffic delays for several hours.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division responded to the scene and monitored the situation. According to locals, traffic is still backed up in the area as of publishing at 1:07 PM Thursday afternoon on both sides of the accident.

Officials continue to encourage drivers to stay alert and cautious when traveling in areas affected by accidents.
