17-Year-Old Passenger Dies Following Motorcycle Crash in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Marshall County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death of a 17-year-old female following a severe motorcycle crash on Pleasant Hill Road near Patterson Drive.

Medical staff at UAB Medical Center notified the Coroner’s Office on Monday, August 4, 2025, around 9:00 p.m. The teenager was airlifted to UAB by helicopter after sustaining critical injuries in a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle. She tragically passed away in the operating room.

Due to the victim’s age, her identity is being withheld by authorities. The Alabama State Troopers are actively investigating the cause of the crash. The Alabama Department of Forensic Science’s Huntsville Laboratory is also assisting in the ongoing investigation.

Marshall County Coroner Cody Nugent released the statement confirming the details surrounding the incident.
