Grant Man Killed in Albertville Motorcycle Crash

Albertville — A Grant man was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on U.S. Highway 431 in Albertville.

Marshall County Coroner Cody Nugent identified the victim as 71-year-old Charles Baker of Grant. The collision occurred shortly after noon in the 3500 block of Highway 431.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, where Baker, who was operating the motorcycle, was pronounced dead.

The Marshall County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene at approximately 12:20 p.m. The Albertville Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

No additional details regarding the circumstances of the wreck or the identity of the other driver involved have been released at this time.
