Susan Elizabeth Livingston, age 74, of Cedar Bluff, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Born in Dothan on the morning of the Peanut Festival, Susan always had a love of life and was surrounded by a plethora of family and friends.
She was an Auburn University graduate and excelled in her profession as a speech pathologist. Susan worked in public schools & clinics in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.
Susan is preceded in death by her mother, Ann McArthur Livingston. She is survived by her father, Jack Livingston (Sue); her brother, Steve Livingston (Joy Perry); niece Laura Ann Mims (Drew); nephew Jager Livingston (Jackie); great niece Parker Mims; great nephews Cooper Mims, Jackson Mims, Matthias Livingston, & Titus Livingston; her aunt, Sandy Hollington; numerous cousins; and her life long friends, known as the Fab 4, Deborah Morrow, Frankie Trammell and Lynda Wilson.
Susan particularly loved her niece and nephew and enjoyed spending her time with them. Susan often said that the day Laura Ann was born brought joy back to her family after the loss of her mother a few years before. More joy arrived three years later when Jager was born.
She loved the game of duplicate bridge and made many friends through the game. She traveled often with friends to ACBL tournaments, working on her “life masters”.
A special thanks to her doctor, Dr. Jack Moody, nurse extraordinaire, Lynsey and the best receptionist in the world, Biel. Also, a very special thanks to Dr. Marshall Schreeder and his staff, Shelly & Beth who go beyond the call for their patients.
Thank you to Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospice Family Care and their extraordinary staff .
Graveside services will take place at the Livingston Family Cemetery in Cedar Bluff on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
