Centre, Spring Creek, and Cedar Bluff Fire Departments were dispatched to a house fire on the Cedar Bluff Road near the end of the 4 lane around 3:45 pm Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found a fire contained to the front porch of the structure. The resident used a water hose to extinguish the blaze with the fire departments continuing to extinguish hot spots to be sure the fire was completely out.
The damage appeared to be limited to the front porch area with no injuries reported.
Centre Police, Cedar Bluff Police, EMA, and Atrium Floyd EMS also responded.
