Mr. Tolin Gwin Abernathy, age 76, of Centre, passed away June 27, 2025.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June29, 2025 at the Perry Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Brian Williams and Rev. Justin Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Neal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon, June 28, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM at Perry Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Don Abernathy, Howard Abernathy, Michael Abernathy, Shane Hunter, Adam Sharp, and Michael Jerrell.
Mr. Abernathy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bates Abernathy; sons Billy Ray (Betty Ann) Abernathy, and Toby Gwin Abernathy; sister, Virginia “Dener” Slayton; and grandchildren, Allison (Aaron) Graham, , Brooklyn (Timothy) Barnes, Jamie Abernathy, and Tyler Abernathy; along with 5 great-grandchildren, as well.
He was the son of the Late Henry Mark and Jessie Ruth Haggard Abernathy. Mr. Abernathy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
