Congressman Robert Aderholt’s Statement on the Anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s Decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization
WASHINGTON—Congressman Robert Aderholt released the following statement on the anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization:
“Today marks the third anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization,” said Robert Aderholt. “The Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was a landmark in the effort to protect the most vulnerable among us and guarantee their right to life and liberty.”
However, the decision simply returned the responsibility of protecting the unborn to elected officials, and each state has since governed independently on the issue. The fight for life continues in many parts of the country.
“I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: I am pro-life, pro-family, and pro-child. As Chairman of the House Values Action Team, I remain committed to fighting and advocating in Congress to expand our efforts and ensure a safe future for our nation’s children—born and unborn,” said Aderholt.
“Since then, I have introduced the Protect Funding for Women’s Health Care Act in the House of Representatives to continue standing for life by ensuring that federal tax dollars are never used to fund organizations such as Planned Parenthood and others like it,” said Aderholt. “I pray for our nation and for lawmakers across the country to continue the fight to protect the lives of the unborn.”
Congress still has work to be done to protect life.
