In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Cody Ferguson, age 30 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and reckless endangerment.

Travious Hood, age 48 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on previous charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jason Nicholson, age 50 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the violation of a protection order and 1st degree criminal trespass.

Hazel Burgess, age 64 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as for failure to appear on previous charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Misty Phillips, age 53 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 81 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
