Inspiration and Fellowship at June Chamber Breakfast

CENTRE, Ala. — The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism hosted its monthly Chamber Breakfast on Thursday, June 12, with this month’s gathering taking place on location at Alabama Mattress Outlet and Alabama Outdoor Furniture Outlet.

Executive Director Joy Perry welcomed attendees, and owner Andy Crow opened the morning with prayer and a blessing over breakfast. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of biscuits, doughnuts, and juice while networking and catching up with local business and community leaders.

Andy Crow, the event’s featured speaker, shared a moving and deeply personal testimony. Born in Germany and adopted at a young age, Crow recounted his journey to the United States and how his early life shaped his enduring faith and commitment to service. He spoke candidly about his battle with multiple myeloma, a form of blood and bone cancer. Doctors gave him a prognosis of less than a year to live, but Crow vowed that if God allowed him more time, he would use it to work and serve faithfully.

Crow detailed his treatment at the Bone Marrow Unit (BMU) at UAB in Birmingham and described the challenges of his medical journey. Despite these trials, his faith remained strong and ultimately guided his life’s direction—both personally and professionally.

He shared how his business has expanded in recent years, now including appliances—additions encouraged by his sons. The success of his business has helped fund mission work around the globe, allowing him to spread the message of hope and faith to communities and children in need.

Part of his powerful testimony is available to listen to here:

The Chamber hosts its monthly breakfast on the second Thursday of each month, typically at the Chamber Office located on the Gadsden State Cherokee campus. The event begins at 8 a.m. and is open to all who wish to attend.
