Vigo Road Closed Indefinitely for Maintenance and Safety Repairs in Piedmont

PIEDMONT, Ala. – The Calhoun County Highway Department has announced the immediate closure of a section of Vigo Road in Piedmont due to essential maintenance work and safety concerns.

The affected stretch extends from the intersection of Vigo-Ladiga Road and The Wagon Road to the intersection of Aderholt Road and Hebble Highway. Officials have not provided a timeline for when the road will reopen, stating only that the closure will remain in effect until further notice.

Detour signs and traffic control measures have been installed to guide motorists around the closed area. Drivers are urged to plan alternate routes and proceed with caution when traveling near the site.
