In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Rebecca Norwood, age 58 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and 2nd degree promoting prison contraband, as well as failure to appear on a previous charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 100 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
