ROME– Denise Raenelle Rogers, 41, of Summerville, faces drug charges following a traffic stop on North Broad Street in Rome.

According to Coosa Valley News, officers said Rogers was a passenger in a vehicle they stopped for a broken light. The stop took place at Chastian’s Regency Beverage.

A K9 then alerted on the vehicle, and officers reportedly found two needles containing methamphetamine residue during a search. Officers also reported finding a glass meth pipe on Rogers after she arrived at the jail.

Rogers faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of drug-related objects, and crossing the guardline with drugs.

However, the charges are allegations. The law presumes Rogers innocent unless and until a court finds her guilty.
