The Centre Parks & Recreation posted the following list of deadlines and happenings on social media sites.
The last day of sign-ups for soccer finales are October 26th for 6-and-under and November 2nd for 8- and 10-and-under.
Basketball registration closes November 9. Director Brock Coogler reminds coaches to register on RecDesk. Dates for basketball evaluations, coaches’ meetings, and other details will be announced soon. If anyone in the public is interested in coaching, please contact the department.
Starting November 1, the Centre Gymnasium will close for Phase 3 of construction. While the department is excited for the upgrades, they realize that the closure may present challenges in basketball season. With the support of the community and surrounding gyms, the director is confident that scheduling will come together.
Coogler announced that the tentative Senior Wellness Program start date is November 5 at the Mary G. Waite Community Center. Donna Young will serve as the instructor. With no age restrictions for the program, organizers hope this program will provide opportunities for many in the community to stay active and well.
