ROME– A Cherokee County warrant led to a woman’s arrest during a Floyd County drug investigation, according to WRGA.
WRGA identified the woman as Stephanie Renee Clemones, 56. The station reports officers arrested her after discovering an active warrant in Cherokee County, Alabama. However, she did not face a drug charge in the investigation, WRGA reported.
The Floyd County Jail arrest report also lists Clemones on a fugitive-from-justice charge. It places her arrest at 5005 Alabama Highway in Rome.
Meanwhile, three other people face drug charges following a search of the residence. WRGA reports Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers found suspected methamphetamine, glass smoking devices, and digital scales.
The jail report names Ernest Ronald Brownlow, Ricky Eugene Brownlow, and Carol Lynn Smith as the other defendants. All three face charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of drug-related objects. Smith, 59, also faces a charge of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
In addition, Ricky Eugene Brownlow, 66, faces charges of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possessing less than an ounce of marijuana. Additionally, he faces charges of possessing a Schedule IV controlled substance and possessing dangerous drugs. The report also lists a charge of drugs not in their original container.
WRGA also reports officers found suspected marijuana and suspected Xanax pills on Ricky Eugene Brownlow. Officers also found a medication commonly used as a muscle relaxer, the station reported.
The available jail report does not identify the underlying Cherokee County warrant against Clemones. That connection comes from WRGA’s reporting.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
