CENTRE– Cherokee County Schools are holding a coat drive throughout October to support children in need through CSAF Christmas for Kids.
According to the Children and Seniors Assistance Foundation, Inc., each school will collect new coats. As a result, the donations will benefit the foundation’s Christmas for Kids program and help provide warm clothing for local children.
Meanwhile, the drive includes a friendly competition among participating schools. The school that collects the most coats will earn bragging rights.
However, organizers emphasize that helping children remains the campaign’s main purpose. Every donated coat will support the Christmas for Kids effort.
Residents can participate by donating a new coat during October. In addition, organizers ask donors to contact their school office for more information.
