Mr. Billy Wayne Walker, age 80, of Centre, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. P.D. Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Walker is survived by his brothers, Donnie (Becky) Walker and Jerry Walker; step-sons, Chris Lewis and Wayne Lewis; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Walker; parents, Roy Lee and Maggie Weaver Walker; brothers, Harold, Jack and Alan Walker; and sisters, Syble Stinson, Maxine Armstrong, Patricia Smith and Jeanette Aderholt.
Billy was a master gardener who always enjoyed having a big vegetable garden. He loved spending time with his family and friends, cheering on his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide, and being with his church family at Centre Congregational Holiness Church. His garden, his family, his friends and his faith were all special parts of his life.
Pallbearers will be Tony Walker, Terry Walker, Ben Walker, Nevin Nabors, Max Murphy and Bubba Pruett.
