CENTRE– The Cherokee County Marching Warriors are selling tickets for a $10,000 giveaway to help buy new uniforms for band members.
Tickets cost $50 each, and organizers say they will sell no more than 450. The drawings will take place Saturday, Nov. 7. Every 50th ticket drawn will win $50, while the final ticket drawn will win $10,000. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
Band members plan to sell tickets at the fall festival. They also expect to offer them at Cherokee County’s next home football game. In addition, supporters can contact any band member or band parent to purchase a ticket.
The band also thanked the community for its support as members work toward purchasing new uniforms.
