WASHINGTON– The Star Meat Delivery recall covers about 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat bearing false inspection labels.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Sept. 22. FSIS said the Lucama, North Carolina, company produced the meat without federal inspection.

The products went to A&D Foods, a distributor in Georgia. The distributor, in turn, supplied retailers and restaurants nationwide.

FSIS says any product bearing the false establishment number “EST. 1363” is unsafe to eat. Consumers should discard recalled meat or return it to the place of purchase. Likewise, restaurants and retailers should not serve or sell it.

Products included in the Star Meat Delivery recall

The company produced the affected meat on various dates before Sept. 22, 2026. It vacuum-sealed the products and packed them in cardboard boxes for shipment under the A&D Foods label.

However, individual packages may lack those labels because stores may have added their own stickers. Those stickers may show prices and safe handling instructions instead.

The recall includes goat cuts, sliced ribeye, beef chuck, oxtail, short ribs, shanks, and beef feet. It also covers ground pork, chorizo, chops, feet, rib pieces, Boston butt cuts, and sliced hocks. In addition, the list includes a product labeled “Menudo Mix.”

FSIS provided product labels to help identify affected items. The agency may also expand the product list and labels as more information becomes available.

USDA reports no confirmed illnesses

FSIS discovered the problem during surveillance activities. It said establishment number “EST. 1363” does not have a federal grant of inspection.

The agency classified the recall as Class I, its high-risk category. That classification means there is a reasonable probability that using the products could cause serious health consequences or death.

However, FSIS reported no confirmed illnesses or injuries linked to the products as of its Sept. 22 announcement.

The agency warns that uninspected food may contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants. It also cautions that recalled products may remain in refrigerators and freezers at homes, restaurants, and stores.

Anyone concerned about an illness or injury should contact a health care provider.
