Woodville blanks Gaylesville in Class 1A, Region 8 football action

GAYLESVILLE – Kaden Franklin completed 11-of-14 pass attempts for 159 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 88 yards and a touchdown on eight carries to lead the Woodville Panthers past Gaylesville 48-0 in Class 1A, Region 8 football action Friday night.

Woodville (3-1, 1-1) built a 42-0 lead at halftime.

Jack Sentell ran for 26 yards on seven carries and had a reception for six yards for Gaylesville (2-2, 1-2). He also posted nine tackles, including one for loss, with two assists and forced a fumble.

Sean Poss tallied 27 yards on eight carries and had four tackles with two assists.

Jonah Sparks added 98 yards and a touchdown on seven carries for the Panthers. He also caught a pair of passes for 40 yards and a score. Caleb Lancaster ran for 54 yards and a pair of scores on six totes. He also caught three passes for 43 yards and two touchdowns.

Gaylesville hosts Donoho in non-region action on Friday.
