The Piedmont Bulldogs and Collinsville Panthers maintained their No. 4 and No. 7 rankings respectively in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football poll. The latest poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Piedmont (4-0) hosts Gaston (3-1) on Friday night. Collinsville (3-0) entertains Sand Rock (2-1) in the Foothills Tractor Mahindra Game of the Week.

One other area team received consideration for this week’s poll: Class 1A Spring Garden (2-2). The Panthers travel to Ragland (2-2) on Friday.

Other area games this week include Valley Head (0-4) at Cedar Bluff (1-2), Cherokee County (2-1) at Guntersville (2-2) and Woodville (2-1) at Gaylesville (2-1).
