Two area football teams remain ranked in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school rankings. Both Piedmont (3-0) and Collinsville (2-0) hold steady at their No. 4 and No. 7 positions in Class 2A respectively.

The latest poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Piedmont travels to West End of Walnut Grove (0-2) on Friday, while Collinsville is at Ider (3-0) on Friday.

Other area games this week include Brewer (1-2) at Cherokee County (1-1), Section (1-1) at Sand Rock (1-1), and the Foothills Tractor Mahindra Game of the Week, Gaylesville (2-0) at Spring Garden (1-2).
