ANNISTON– The City of Anniston honored Dr. Titus Rumell Roberson with a formal proclamation recognizing his ministry, public service, and community leadership. Mayor Ciara Smith-Roston signed the proclamation Sept. 6.
Roberson has served for 10 years as pastor of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Anniston. According to the city, he has provided spiritual leadership, guidance, encouragement, and compassionate service to the congregation and greater Anniston community.
In addition, Roberson serves as dean of Christian education for the Snow Creek District. The proclamation credits that work with advancing Christian education, discipleship, and leadership.
Roberson also earned a doctoral degree in theology. City leaders said the achievement reflects his dedication to faith, continued learning, and ministry.
Beyond his church work, Roberson serves the public through his employment with the City of Hogansville in Georgia. The proclamation says his professional work and ministry demonstrate a broad commitment to helping others.
The proclamation also details Roberson’s early life. He was born Feb. 5, 1965, in LaGrange, Georgia, and graduated from LaGrange High School.
Moreover, city leaders recognized Roberson as a devoted father of four and a proud grandfather of two grandsons. They said he values family and strives to leave future generations an example of faith, character, and love.
Anniston presented the honor at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. During the visit, city representatives praised the congregation, choir, and ministry team for their welcome and support.
Finally, the proclamation commends Roberson for his faith, perseverance, dependability, integrity, humility, and love. It says his service to his family, church, and community has made a lasting impact on the lives of others.
The city extended its appreciation and congratulations to Roberson. It described his record as “a life well lived, a ministry faithfully carried out, and a legacy worthy of celebration.”
