GUNTERSVILLE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors split a pair of Tuesday volleyball matches at Supreme Courts in Guntersville. They fell to Guntersville 26-28, 13-25 and 15-25, but rebounded to take a 25-21, 25-20 decision over Albertville to improve to 10-4 on the season.
Ava Haygood led the Lady Warriors with 12 kills, 16 digs, two blocks, an ace and an assist. Jolie Alexander added 13 kills, 10 digs, a block, three aces and two assists. Taniya Fife came away with six kills, seven digs, four aces, a block and an assist.
Mattie Green posted seven kills, seven digs, 16 assists and an ace. Sydni Frost contributed 16 assists and five digs. Harleigh Henry had three kills, three aces and three digs. Anna Morris managed four digs, a block and an assist. Shyann Nicholson finished with six digs.
Cherokee County hosts Crossville and Glencoe on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m.
