Floyd County police are asking for the public’s help as detectives investigate the death of a 35-year-old Stevie Marie Thompson.
Investigators have identified 32-year-old Drake Ladon Keef of Aragon as a suspect. Active warrants have been issued for Keef’s arrest in connection with the case.
Authorities are seeking information about an incident that happened between midnight and 1 a.m. on August 22nd, near Chulio Road and Cole Road.

Police are not releasing additional details because the investigation remains active. Coosa Valley News reported on August 25th that Thompson was found in the roadway with a serious head wound. The outlet also reported that investigators found a pair of socks and a rubber mallet with a wooden handle nearby.
Keef is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
