CENTRE– Spring Creek Fire & Rescue will host a community barbecue fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at John’s Crossroads.
The menu will include whole Boston butts, barbecue by the pound, barbecue plates, whole smoked chickens, and half-chicken plates.
Organizers are encouraging families to attend and bring their children. Young visitors will have an opportunity to see and play on the department’s fire trucks.
The event will also allow residents to meet local firefighters and enjoy fellowship with others from the community.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help Spring Creek Fire & Rescue continue serving the community.
