In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Wang Key, age 37 of San Gabriel, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of financially exploiting the elderly.

Tracy Pena, age 32 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, and obstructing government operations.

Toby Husley, age 47 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Charles Johnson, age 60 of Birmingham, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of bail jumping.

Juan Martin-Castanos, age 44 of Fyffe, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of attempting to elude and resisting arrest.

Angel Hawkins, age 43 of Anniston, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 112 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
